The frames of the Metal Collection are made by us, traditionally in Italy. The production of classic metal glasses involves many different metalworking processes. The rims of the eyes are processed for the individual sizes and contours using custom-made cone shapes. Nose bridges are obtained from prefabricated profiles that are bent with special tools. Metal profiles are milled in order to manufacture so-called locking blocks, which enable the lenses to be mounted and which have a position to accommodate the temples. The individual components are then connected to form the spectacle frame by brazing and welding. Finally, the frames are polished and galvanized with precious metals.
